QUEEN FAMILY PROPERTY TAX & DOCUMENTS COLLECTION, 1912-1955 Alice L. and Lonzo Z. Queen were property owners in Marcola, Oregon, Township 16 South, Range 1 West, Section 18, Lot 36. This is a collection of their property tax payment receipts from 1912 through 1955. While not of particular historic significance in and of itself, the collection does show the gradual increases in property tax payments and how the receipts were produced over the years, and the documents are in good condition. There are also a few miscellaneous documents, such as 1933 and 1935 Oregon driver's licenses for Lonzo, unemployment claim documents for Fischer Lumber Company and Booth Kelly Lumber Company, a couple of U. S. army separation documents, building trade membership cards and a Modern Woodmen of the World membership document. |
