CLIFT FAMILY COLLECTION Photographs, 1910-1916 The collection consists of 13 photographs associated with the Leander B. and Olivia Clift family of Springfield, Oregon. Only one of the photographs is original; the rest are reprints or copies. Ten of the 13 are dated. All the photos in this collection have some identification and are numbered as follows: --1. Foster place owned by Clift family 1910 to 1915. (Directories locate this residence on Springfield's RFD2.) --2. Foster place 1910, Springfield, Oregon. L.B. and Olivia Clift (on porch). Amy, Zell, Howard, Stan, Vern (standing in front of the porch - two people are not identified). --3. Inside of Foster place, 1910. Grandpa Clift, Grandma Clift, Aunt Jenny Clift, Amy Clift. In mirror-Jesse Green, Maud Clift Green. --4. Cedar Flat Mill (between Thurston and Walterville, Oregon) Zell Clift, Stanley Clift, Olivia Clift. --5."Foster place" 1911. (The name "Mell" is written on the back; perhaps this is Alma's nickname? The group is standing in a garden with a house behind them, but no location or date is given.) --13. Howard Clift, Zell Clift, Annie Clift Mingles, Vern Clift, Stanley Clift, Hazel Mingles, Olivia Clift, L.B. Clift, Herb Mingles. (Very dark image with no location or date given.) These are identified as photos of the Eugene, Oregon residence of Leander B. and Olivia Clift at 1139 Moss Street in 1912. (The address changed to 1981 Moss Street after 1913). |
