STEPHENS, LISETTE BRISTOW, 1867-1962 INVENTORY, description and postcard. (Entered in the Library of Congress National Union Catalog of Manuscripts - NUCMC - as OCLC 806965005.) Papers, 1883-1939. Lisette Bristow, a daughter of lane County pioneer William W. Bristow, was an author of short stories and plays. The collection consists of manuscripts of short stories: "Ma," "The Magic Wand," "Lester Mary, or the Invisible Playmate," "Wild Hats I Have Known," "Some Class," and fragments of a travelogue. There is a published copy of her play "The Gentle Bush." Also included are notes from letters written by Sarah Bristow and a manuscript, "Place Names as Told to Lewis Coryell." |
