1998-2012 |
Scope & Content |
MOHAWK WATERSHED PARTNERSHIP NEWSLETTER 1998 TO 2012. Newsletter published by the Mohawk Watershed Partnership. Covers water and environmental issues in Lane County, Oregon's Mohawk River Valley, including the communities of Marcola, Mabel, and Donna. Newsletter staff members were donor Karen Lansky, LInda K. Mooney and Jared Weybright. The newsletter was produced about 4 times a year (usually winter, June, September and December) and focused on water quality, water temperatures, salmon restoration and riparian enhancement in the Mohawk River valley. But also included announcements of community events and classes, such as school board meetings, Mohawk Valley Community Grange events, Lions Club meetings, the Marcola Pioneer Cemetery Association meetings and yoga and tai chi classes. There are also advertisements for local businesses. In 2012, the newsletter name was changed to the "Mohawk Messenger," and the focus on topics of community interest was enhanced. |
