RIGDON, ZILPHIA BRISTOW, 1834-1903 DESCRIPTION (Entered in the Library of Congress National Union Catalog of Manuscripts - NUCMC - as OCLC 801521152.) Papers, 1854-1900. Zilphia Bristow, a daughter of Elijah Bristow, crossed the Plains to Oregon in 1848 and settled with her parents at Pleasant Hill. In 1854 she married Stephen Rigdon, who later became as officer in the Oregon Volunteer Militia, 1864-67. The papers consist of two typescript pioneer reminiscences, two telegrams, and certificates of appointment relating to Stephen Rigdon's service with the Oregon Volunteer Militia.
