(Also includes CD: "The Very Little Theatre: 75th Anniversary CD of Historic Photographs. 1929-2004." Accession # L2014.038.) The Very Little Theater, founded in Eugene in 1929, is said to be the oldest completely self-supporting community theater in the United States. The records consist of annual scrapbooks that include publicity for plays and theater activities and copies of programs. These are supplemented by files of unmounted clippings arranged chronologically. The records contain the 1948-1954 VLT business files of William Tugman concerning development, routine business, plays performed, reviews, and programs. |
